Americans shine in Slovakia
Team USA won a total of 25 medals at the recent World Outdoor Championships and many of those medalists continued to find success Thursday at the 9th Athletics Bridge in Dubicna, Slovakia.
 
Jason Richardson, the 2011 World Championships gold medalist in the 110m hurdles, won that race Thursday in a time of 13.08. LaShawn Merritt, the World Championships 400m silver medalist, won the 400m in a time of 45.75 and Jesse Williams, the world champion in the high jump, won his event with a height of 2.27m/7-5.25.
 
Kibwe Johnson also picked up a second place finish in the hammer throw with a toss of 77.28m/253-6.
